今回のテーマは「ブランドバッグを買う」です。
ジョイがデパートで買い物をするところです。
早速その会話を覗いてみましょう。

Joy is at the department store now.
Clerk: May I help you?
Joy: Yes, please. I’m looking for a bag.
Clerk: Sure. What kind of bags do you need?
Joy: I’d like a Louis Vuitton bag. I’m going to give it to my girlfriend.
Clerk: Louis Vuitton bag. I see. There are the latest bags of Louis Vuitton here.
Joy: Oh, these are too expensive! Can you show me the reasonably priced bags?
Clerk: Well, all of the Designer bags are expensive.
Joy: She likes this brand very much. Then Can I buy it on the installment plan?
Clerk: All right. How many payments will it take to pay off this loan?
Joy: Can I make 12 payments?
Clerk: Sure.

May I help you?：店員が言う「いらっしゃいませ」の定番。
look for～：「～を探す」
need：「必要である」
give A to B：「AをBにあげる」物が先の時giveはtoを付けて＋人にする。 人が前に来たときはgive B（人）A（物）で前置詞は不要。
the latest：「最新の」
expensive：「値段が高い」
reasonably priced：「適正価格の」「お手頃価格の」
Designer：ここでは、形容詞で「有名なデザイナーが手がけた」「ブランド物の」
brand：「ブランド」「銘柄」
installment plan：「分割払い」
payments：「支払い」
pay off：「完済する」
make＋回数＋payments：「～回払いにする」

Joy is at the department store now. (ジョイは今デパートにいます。)
Clerk: May I help you? (いらっしゃいませ。)
Joy: Yes, please. I’m looking for a bag. (はい。かばんを探しています。)
Clerk: Sure. What kind of bags do you need? (かしこまりました。どのようなかばんが必要でしょうか？)
Joy: I’d like a Louis Vuitton bag. I’m going to give it to my girlfriend. (ルイ・ヴィトンのかばんです。ガールフレンドにプレゼントしようと思っています。)
Clerk: Louis Vuitton bag. I see. There are the latest bags of Louis Vuitton here. (ルイ・ヴィトンですね。承知しました。こちらにルイ・ヴィトンの最新のものがございます。)
Joy: Oh, these are too expensive! Can you show me the reasonably priced bags? (オー、とても値段が高いね！お手頃価格のかばんを見せてもらえますか？)
Clerk: Well, all of the Designer bags are expensive. (ええ…ブランドバッグは全て高額な物ばかりです。)
Joy: She likes this brand very much. Then Can I buy it on the installment plan? (彼女は、このブランドがとても好きなんだ。では、分割払いはできますか？)
Clerk: All right. How many payments will it take to pay off this loan? (大丈夫です。何回払いになさいますか？)
Joy: Can I make 12 payments? (12回払いにできますか？)
Clerk: Sure. (かしこまりました。)

ブランド品は、何でも高価な物が多いですね。
高価な物を買うときは現金で支払うのは難しいです。
こんな時は、分割払いができると便利ですね。
そのときのためにも分割払いの言い方を覚えておくと役立つと思います。
