今回のテーマは「電車事故に巻き込まれる」です。
あなたは同僚と通勤電車に乗っています。
早速その会話を覗いてみましょう。
★会話★
You are on the train with your co-worker.
You: Can you hear the announcement?
Co-worker: What?
You: The conductor said something. But I couldn’t hear what he said.
Co-worker: Neither could I. The train announcement wasn’t clear.
You: What’s going on?
Co-worker: Oh, it’s an accident. This train will not move for a while.
You: Will you stay here?
Co-worker: I suppose it’ll take time. We should change trains.
You: That’s the troublesome. This is the third time to be caught in the accident this year.

co-worker：「同僚」
announcement：「お知らせ」
conductor：「車掌」
neither：「～もまた…ない」
clear：この場合は、形容詞で「はっきり聞こえる」の意味
What’s going on?：「どうしたの？」「何事だ？」
for a while：「しばらく」
take time：「時間がかかる」
change trains：「電車を乗り換える」
be caught in：（渋滞などに）「巻き込まれる」

You: What’s going on? (一体何が起こっているんだ？)
Co-worker: Oh, it’s an accident. This train will not move for a while. (あ、事故だ。この電車はしばらく動かないだろう。)
You: Will you stay here? (ここで待つ？)
Co-worker: I suppose it’ll take time. We should change trains. (時間がかかると思うよ。電車を乗り換えるべきだね。)
You: That’s the troublesome. This is the third time to be caught in the accident this year. (めんどうだな。今年になって事故に巻き込まれるのは3回目だよ。)

電車事故に巻き込まれると、イライラしますね。
乗っている電車がいつ動いてくれるのかが気になります。
電車もホームも混み合うので、本当に大変です。
乗客だけでなく、その苦情を受ける駅員さんもストレスがたまるでしょうね。
