    Hello!

You call to the appliance store.

    Clerk: AZ appliance store.

You: Hello. I have a problem with my air conditioner.

Clerk: Well, it isn’t broken, is it?

You: Yes, I’m afraid it is. Can you come and repair it?

Clerk: We are sorry, but this is a bad time of the year.

You: But why do you say that? I can’t stand this heat. So I need you to come to my house soon.

Clerk: We’d love to, but it’s impossible for us to do that today.

    You: Oh, really? But why?

Clerk: We are having the first hot weather of the year, so most people are using their air conditioners for the first time.Unfortunately many people didn’t use them at all through the winter. So a lot of them need repair.

You: I see. When can you repair it?

Clerk: Well, next Wednesday will be OK.

    See you then.
