My husband's job brought us here to Japan four years ago. I was a nurse and an Online English teacher in the Philippines. I continued my passion for teaching until the strike of the pandemic. Finally is Multicultural Collaboration, where we encourage students to collaborate on projects with peers from different cultural backgrounds. This collaboration will extend beyond traditional classroom settings, fostering friendships and an appreciation for diverse perspectives.

Policy 2: Conversation-Based Language Learning

Objective:
To enhance English language proficiency through immersive conversation-based learning, emphasizing practical communication skills in real-world scenarios.

We implement this by prioritizing interactive and discussion-oriented classroom activities over traditional lecture-based teaching methods. We create an environment that encourages spontaneous and natural conversation among students.

Next is Real-World Simulation Exercises: Design simulation exercises that replicate real-life scenarios, such as job interviews, travel situations, or business meetings. This approach will provide students with practical language skills applicable to various contexts.

Finally is the Peer-to-Peer Language Exchange Program, where we facilitate a program where students can pair up with peers looking to practice English. This exchange will encourage mutual learning, providing students with opportunities to teach and learn from each other.

By implementing these policies, the English language class will focus on linguistic development and provide a platform for students to appreciate and learn from each other's cultures, fostering a more comprehensive and enriching educational experience.

I was a dispatch instructor for over two years and my specialty is conducting English programs with Junior and Senior High School students. I had my experience teaching students the essentials of English conversation skills and encouraging them to cultivate a passion for studying English by showing many ways of how learning English can be fun and impactful.

My major was the initial reason why I came to Japan. However, I started finding myself more reasons to stay in Japan and pursue a career in becoming an English teacher. I started it as a part-time job and I feel like it is now a passion of mine to influence the younger generation of Japan to connect globally by first building their English skills and then assisting them in whatever they need in order to build these skills.

The educational policy I will follow is the "Every Student Succeeds Act" The act was passed in 2015 as a replacement for the No Child Left Behind Act. The goal of the Every Student Succeeds Act is to give states more flexibility in how they implement educational reforms. The act also places a greater emphasis on school choice and accountability for student outcomes.

During my high school years, I encountered a volunteer flier posted by my school seeking a teacher with a high proficiency level in English. Intrigued by the offer, I decided to apply for it and was subsequently accepted for an eleven-month tutoring position. Initially, I found the experience to be challenging and difficult as I struggled to effectively communicate with the children and understand their needs. However, through collaboration and open communication, I was able to establish a rapport with the students and effectively facilitate their learning. Overcoming these initial difficulties proved to be a straightforward process, and each day presented new opportunities for growth and development. I found that being their friend and companion will lead to more results rather than being a teacher who simply expects to understand and comprehend. Throughout my time as a volunteer teacher, I found the experience to be both enjoyable and adventurous. Not only did I have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of my students, but I also learned a great deal about myself and my capabilities.

I have always been fascinated by Japanese culture. I love the food, the people, the history, and the language. When I had the opportunity to move to Japan to study for my International Relations degree, I jumped at the chance. I have been studying in Japan for the past four months, and I have loved every minute of it. I have broadened my view of Japanese culture, and I have learned so much about the country and its people. Also had the opportunity to practice my Japanese language skills, which has been a great challenge and a lot of fun. I want to become an English teacher because I want to help people communicate with each other. I believe that English is a powerful tool that can be used to break down barriers and build bridges between many cultures. I also believe that everyone deserves access to quality education, regardless of their background. I am passionate about helping my students reach their full potential, and I am committed to providing them with the tools they need to succeed. I first visited Japan as a young child, and I was immediately captivated by the country. I loved the way the people were so friendly and welcoming, and the rich culture and history were fascinating. I knew that I would come back someday, and I knew that I wanted to pursue higher education in the country. I've been working as an English teaching assistant, alongside an English-speaking Japanese teacher, for students between the ages of 4-11. The classes consist of integrating games and fun activities into teaching very basic English, such as colors, animals, and numbers.
