My teaching style is to learn and understand your interests and goals and to focus the language learning around them. I have successfully used many different curriculums along with much additional information gained from personal research on the internet or personal experiences. I enjoy teaching in the formal or informal classroom (home, cafe, park).

I have worked in education, health care and employment services throughout my career, both in Canada and overseas. I spent 4.5 years in China (2004-2009) teaching nursing and English, and have enjoyed relationships with Japanese students since 1989.
I completed my Masters degree while working in China as the Vice Principal of an English language traning school. I have since travelled to Vietnam and Inner Mongolia to visit friends and guest lecture at colleges and universities there.
