I became a teacher to break away from the monotony of lab work and pursue something more dynamic and fulfilling. Initially, I came to Japan to explore the country where my father once worked. However, I quickly fell in love with the culture, the people, and the lifestyle, which inspired me to settle here and build a meaningful career in education.

We move here with my wife, who is Japanese.

I graduated Bachelor or Arts in Education Major in English, so it has been my dream to be a teacher, and besides, I was molded and trained to be the best. I came to Japan because my previous Japanese employer who was my student before invited me to lead and teach in his English School in Shizuoka City.

19 years ago I came to Japan on a 2 month home stay. I was living in the Nihonbashi area of Tokyo at the time, and fell in love with Kamakura on a trip there one weekend. I decided to come back and live there for a year. I became an Eikaiwa teacher to make this happen. My original plan was to stay a year but it has been almost 15 years now. I love communicating with people and I have had the experience of teaching in the U.S., so I thought it would be a great opportunity to be able to communicate with people of a different ethnic culture in an environment that was completely opposite of my own. My 16 years of experience as a teacher of French and English has been done through and out of educational institution, with or without pre-established course of study to follow. I teach French and English to children and adults regardless of their education levels.
For each lesson, I have to accommodate myself to the profile and the level of my students with one goal; help them mastering these 2 languages ??in oral and written. My experiences in different professional organizations provided me adaptability and communication skills needed to teach effectively. According to demands and needs, I create my own lessons or use textbooks of foreign language lessons.

My French national company sent me to Japan for work 20 years ago. After three years, I decided to open my own restaurant (French buckwheat galettes) and began teaching cooking classes in both French and English language.
