Japan unexpectedly caught my heart, and before I knew it, I was swapping a life of routine for one rich with the rhythm of English lessons. The transition was seamless, fueled by the infectious enthusiasm of friends already weaving magic in their classrooms.
Years later, I am known as the teacher who turned English class into an adventure land. Inspired by those who had charted this territory before me, I leaped with a pocket full of stories and a mission to make learning a blast.
Fast forward to today, and my classes are where fun and learning collide, creating memorable experiences. My journey here might have started by chance, but teaching English has become my chosen adventure, packed with laughter, discoveries, and endless opportunities to explore.
Aloha! I’m Carl Williams, though I go by Will. Picture this: a guy from the sunny vibes of Hawaii, now soaking up Japan's rich culture and breathtaking scenery for two decades. It's been an incredible ride, filled with adventures and deep dives into the beautiful traditions here.
Teaching is my way of giving back to the fantastic folks in Japan who have made me feel right at home. It’s more than work; it’s about connecting, sharing stories, and building friendships that add a new layer of joy to my life.
My classes? They're all about sparking curiosity and joy. Making mistakes is just part of the adventure of learning. So, I encourage you to mess up, mix up, and laugh it off because that’s how we all learn and grow.
I’m looking forward to welcoming you to my class. We will have a great time together, exploring the English language and ensuring plenty of smiles along the way. See you soon!
I have a variety of English language textbooks and run a website, "The Next Step," where I teach English to students and provide them with all the resources they need to learn.
