I’m a 30 year old Canadian teacher. I’m CELTA certified to teach English as a second language.
About 5 years ago I first started travelling, and taught English for the first time. I LOVED it. Since then I’ve been fortunate to have taught hundreds of students ranging in age from 2-68 (!) in no less than 5 countries (Taiwan, China, Guatemala, Turkey and Vietnam)
What I offer:
There are MANY English centers in Tokyo but they can be overcrowded and impersonal, almost like a factory! It is sometimes difficult to get the one on one attention necessary to really make rapid and lasting improvements on your English levels.
I have a very strong background in teaching all sorts of students from absolute beginner to advanced. I will tailor my teaching style to YOUR specific needs. We can focus on conversational English, IELTS + TOEFL prepping, grammar or whatever you desire.
My only rule is : let’s have fun!
I think learning English should be engaging and interesting; and I teach accordingly. If you’re looking for someone to do dry by rote memorization drills with…. look elsewhere!
