英会話を勉強する生徒へアドバイス

My main objective in teaching is for the students to learn how to express themselves and communicate effectively. I use various textbooks or newspaper and magazine articles as well as DVD or news from television (for advanced students) I try to help the student develop their communication skills via a natural response and interaction. I also advise students who go abroad for business with their speeches, demonstrations or presentations at institutions such as MIT, research centers, hospitals and NGO organizations all over the world. Teaching in Japan also calls for a certain psychoanalytical approach to break through the rote education and learning process embedded in years of studying English, shyness and fear of making mistakes. I'm serious but at the same time fun. I believe in being well disciplined as well as having the flexibility to improvise depending on the students ability to initiate a topic of their liking. The longest student has been studying with me f
or over ten years. My Japanese ability is average, but I can communicate in daily conversation. I do not like to use Japanese in teaching English.
