In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a minor in Japanese and Asian Studies from University of Nebraska Lincoln ; I also can speak Mandarin Chinese, Shanghainese, English and Japanese. As one may see, I have a passion for language acquisition and would love to share the fun of learning a foreign language with my students. I believe the most important thing when teaching children is creating the right learning environment. If their teacher has both a good attitude and makes classes enjoyable and interactive, the students will likely associate English with fun. Learning English as a 2nd language I believe will allow me to better relate to students and understand the challenges they come across.
Though I may not have teaching experience, I know that it involves a developed skill in communication. When I worked at the Bank of Suzhou in China, I made financial analysis reports while working closely with team members on projects. Similarly to teaching, I learned that in business making a connection with people is essential to communication. Being able to transmit a message is one thing, but making relationships and forming a bridge between cultures and people will help make things like acquiring English into a smooth and pleasant experience; this is my goal with teaching.
英語力と中国語力があります。専攻は金融、日本語とアジア研究です。自分の専攻が好きだので、大学で卒業の時、GPAが3.53でした。日本語がとても好きなので、日本や海外の文化や経済状況にも詳しいです。友達を作るのが好きだし、友達がたくさんいるし、コミュニケーションの能力には自信があります。英語に関しては、アメリカのネブラスカ大学で四年間、金融、日本語とアジア研究を専攻し、知識を深めてきた経験から、問題なく日常会話やビジネス会話を行えます。日本語は、現在、慶応大学で留学生として在学し、日々勉強しています。
この仕事を志望した理由は、自分の語学能力を生かせるということと、英語を教えるのが好きだからです。ビジネスのインターンシップの経験があります。また、これまでの経験から得た、高いコミュニケーション能力と好奇心旺盛で何事にも真剣に取り組む姿勢で多くの言語はもちろん、その他にも様々な知識を教えてあげたいと考えています。
