Hello! My name is Liza and I am a licensed professional and also a TESOL certified teacher from the Philippines. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree Education from the University of the Philippines. I also took up BA English Studies at the same university.
I now have over 10 years of experience as a private tutor teaching academic subjects and English as a Second Language to mostly Japanese. I have also taught ESL to students from Korea, Vietnam, France, Russia, and Austria.
At present, I am a professor secretary at Osaka University mainly handling writing and editing letters and manuscripts of doctors and professors. I also teach them English in group lessons or on-to-one.
I have worked for international companies like JPMorgan Chase Bank and HSBC Bank where I further developed my native-level and Business English skills. I can speak English in a few different accents even though English isn’t my native language. While I enjoyed working in the corporate world, my true passion has always been both teaching and learning. This is why I decided to go back to teaching and continue to learn and share what I learn.
