Teaching Experience:
When in High School, throughout the year I have been doing voluntary work with children in the younger classes aging from 7 and above. Through that process, I have acquired teaching and communication skills with children of all ages. For example, when tutoring children in elementary school you have to take into account that they are very young and being too strict with them may only harm the communication between the teacher and the student. On the other hand, when tutoring students from middle school discipline is required in order to ensure that the students keep up with their schedules.
I have also done part-time jobs, including tutoring English for children aging 6-12 for which I have created a personally planned curriculum for every lesson based on every individual student. There would be students with either basic or no experience of English. For each student, I would always create an individual study plan to focus on their stronger points, but not forget what they have already learned and memorized. A test would be given at beginning as a checkpoint of where the student’s progress is in terms of their English level.
