I moved to Japan because my husband works here, and I initially came as a dependent to join him. Once I arrived and settled into daily life, I enrolled in a Japanese language school to integrate into the community and achieve fluency. Living and studying here has given me a deep appreciation for Japanese culture and a strong first-hand understanding of the rewards and challenges of learning a new language in a foreign country.
While attending language school in Japan, I had the opportunity to work part-time as an English teacher at Yamate Gakuin. That experience made me realize how rewarding it is to help Japanese students overcome language barriers and build their confidence. Having been a dedicated language learner myself, I deeply empathize with the challenges students face when picking up a second language. I enjoy breaking down concepts into accessible steps, creating an encouraging environment, and helping students achieve practical communication skills they can use in their daily or professional lives.
Many learners feel nervous about making mistakes, but in my classroom, mistakes are simply stepping stones to progress! My goal is to create a comfortable, encouraging environment where you feel motivated to speak.
