Hi! I’m an English teacher living in Japan with a background in Physical Science. I moved to Japan because my husband works here, and I initially came as a dependent to join him. Once I arrived and settled into daily life, I enrolled in a Japanese language school to integrate into the community and achieve fluency. Living and studying here has given me a deep appreciation for Japanese culture and a strong first-hand understanding of the rewards and challenges of learning a new language in a foreign country.

While attending language school in Japan, I had the opportunity to work part-time as an English teacher at Yamate Gakuin. That experience made me realize how rewarding it is to help Japanese students overcome language barriers and build their confidence. Having been a dedicated language learner myself, I deeply empathize with the challenges students face when picking up a second language. I enjoy breaking down concepts into accessible steps, creating an encouraging environment, and helping students achieve practical communication skills they can use in their daily or professional lives.

Worked as a part-time English Language Tutor at Yamate Gakuin, a private educational institute, teaching English to seven-year-old students and supporting their early language development. Mainly used flash cards, games and activities to teach English.
