3 years of teaching English.

I was an English teacher in Pakistan. I got the opportunity to come to Japan to enhance my skills as a teacher. Japanese education system is a complete new experience for me. Having this experience, I can become a better English teacher.

I am currently a fourth year student at School of International Liberal Studies in Waseda University. All the courses at my school are taught in English with a student body of diverse backgrounds. In the past, I have lived in California for 5 years, and since then have endeavored to improve from that level to a native level. Due to that effort, I have achieved in improving all the different aspects that constitute a language skill, for example, reading comprehension, writing, etc.

I have tutored two students in elementary and middle school. The lessons were focused on grammar mostly. Since the July of 2012, I have been working at an English school for children called 'Smile Club'. I have been an assistant in the beginning, however, I teach two classes on my own. It is mostly conversation based. I am comfortable with teaching children, however, I would also like to try to be engaged with adults. I have had a similar experience at school in a program called 'Language Exchange'. I would teach English and learn Japanese. My partners and I would practice speaking and learn along the way. I have been teaching Korean as well since last summer to two people. I have gained confidence teaching or speaking with adults, and it has been enjoyable every time.

After graduating, I did a job as an English teacher in a high school for 3 years. I have lots of efficient experience of teaching English.
