英語で”乗り換える”「目的地まで説明」

おもてなしの一つとして、目的地への行き方や電車の乗り換え方法について、英語で説明することができるといいですね。ハルミが駅のホームで英語で話しかけられました。さっそくその会話を覗いてみましょう。

★会話★

Harumi is at the platform.

Foreign Citizen: Excuse me.

Could you tell me how to get to the Imperial Palace?

Harumi: Well, first, take the next train and get off at Shinagawa station.

Foreign Citizen: I see.

How many stops are there from here?

Harumi: There are five stops.

It’ll take about 15 minutes.

Next, change trains at Shinagawa station.

Foreign Citizen: So, I’ll change trains at Shinagawa station.

Harumi: Yes, and you can take Yamanote Line there.

Get off at Tokyo station.

You can walk to the Imperial Palace.

Please take the counter-clockwise train of that line.

Foreign Citizen: What is that?

Harumi: Yamanote Line has clockwise and counter-clockwise trains.

Be careful not to take the clockwise train.

Foreign Citizen: Thank you.

Harumi: Welcome.
