I studied Computer Engineering in a local university in Singapore (Nanyang Technological University).

After graduating from the university, I was a software engineer for 3 years. After that, I joined the Marketing Communications team in Panasonic Asia handling anything digital like websites, social media and campaigns.

When I was a university student, I taught a number of elementary students to prepare them for school examinations in Chinese, English, and Mathematics.

Have worked and lived in Japan for 23 years.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary School teaching and a TEFL certificate which is recognised by the Advisory Council for English Language Schools (Department of Education and Science in Ireland.) With 3 years of experience as a primary school teacher- including teaching English as a foreign language to newcomer pupils. Team Leader - Summer 2014 - English Adventure

Served as team leader for a group of eight Japanese students of similar ages at a English speaking summer camp near Tokyo. Responsibilities included managing the students during various activities; engaging them and keeping them safe at all times, during activities and transitions; also managed a tent of young boys from six to sixteen years old, ensuring they woke up, showered and made it to activities on time as well as keeping the tent reasonably clean.

After School Teacher - 2014 - Tokyo International School

Teacher for a group of young elementary school students for Tokyo International School's after school program. Curriculum included physical education, cooking, arts & crafts, music, geography and civics.
