I come from a military family and we lived in several different countries with Japan being the last. I studied Japanese extensively for 4+ years then ultimately decided to become a teacher after graduating because I love talking to people and helping when I can.

About Me
I have a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and experience as a junior doctor in Bangladesh. This has provided me with a deep understanding of pediatrics, child psychology, and child development, all of which allow me to connect with students at any level of learning. After moving to Japan, I transitioned into teaching English and have since developed a love for helping students achieve their academic goals through personalized lessons.

I moved to Japan to join my husband, who’s working here, and to embrace the new opportunities that living in a different culture would bring. It was a big change, but it opened my eyes to how powerful language can be in connecting people from diverse backgrounds. Becoming an English teacher was something I never really planned, but it felt like a natural path. I’ve always enjoyed teaching and helping others, and being in Japan, I saw how many people wanted to improve their English skills, whether for work or personal growth. I realized I could make a difference by helping people communicate and understand each other better. Teaching English has become a way for me to give back while continuously learning about new cultures and perspectives, which I find truly fulfilling.

I am a 3rd Generation Japanese Descendant and I have Japanese, Spanish and Philippine roots. I love Japan's culture, beauty and food. Japan is vert peaceful and allows one to enjoy with ease through accessible public transportation. I became a teacher because I wanted to share the world to Japanese people through English lessons. I love to see the progress and development of learners of English.

I FIRST CAME TO JAPAN FOR A VISIT AND AFTER A FEW MONTHS I DECIDED TO STAY BACK, I HAVE LOVED TEACHING SINCE MY COLLEGE DAYS AND ALSO WAS TEACHING WHILE I WAS DOING MY MASTER'S PROGRAM SO I DECIDED TO CONTRIBUTE THAT SKILL OF MINE HERE IN JAPAN

My approach to teaching has been to always enthusiastically encourage students to improve their learning, by building their confidence, as well as their knowledge. In completing my classes,
students improve their verbal communication skills. I encourage students to engage in adequate preparation for such tasks, in order to build their confidence in using English,and help build their fluency while continually giving them positive feedback and motivation.

I have used textbooks like the Headway series of OUP, but I am willing to use any text the student prefers.

I came to Japan to advance my academic career. I enjoy teaching in English, so my extensive experience in successfully delivering English classes helps students reach their desired success.
