I am a 25 year old Norwegian man who has studied Japanese for three years. It's a very hard language, but I feel I'm getting better every day. I've been living in Tokyo since the beginning of September, and have been looking for work where I can practice my Japanese, but also my English. I consider my English level to be close to native level, and I would think my potential students appreciate the fact that I'll possibly be able to explain difficult things in Japanese.
I have worked for many years (during my summer vacations) as an assistant at assited-living facility in my home town. My work there consisted of helping adults with learning disabilities get through their days, something that often involved teaching of some sort. Other than that I've worked as an assistant in several kindergartens and pre-schools. This is something I thoroughly enjoyed, and the feedback I got was very positive.
