今回のテーマは「サッカーの試合について話す」です。
恵子とビルがサッカーの試合について話をしています。
★会話★
Keiko and Bill are talking about soccer.
Bill: Do you like soccer?
Keiko: Yes, I do.
Bill: I like soccer very much. Did you watch the soccer game last night on TV?
Keiko: No, what happened?
Bill: Japan won the game.
Keiko: What was the score?
Bill: The score was three to two. The kicker scored a goal in the last three seconds.
Keiko: Really? Who did they play against?
Bill: They played against Chilean. I’m a real soccer fan. How about you?
Keiko: I like soccer, too. But I like baseball better than soccer.

game：試合
last night：昨夜
on TV：テレビで
What happened?：「どうしたの？」「何かあったの？」 相手の様子がおかしいときや、元気がないときにも使える。
won the game：「試合に勝った」wonはwinの過去形。
score：名詞で「得点」。動詞で「得点する、得る」。試合だけでなく、試験の点数にも使える。
three to two：3対2。前置詞はtoを使う。
in the last three seconds：「最後の3秒で」
against：対して
like A better than B：「BよりもAの方が好き」likeの時の比較級にはbetterを使う。

Keiko and Bill are talking about soccer. (恵子とビルがサッカーについて話しています。)
Bill: Do you like soccer? (君はサッカーが好き？)
Keiko: Yes, I do. (ええ、好きよ。)
Bill: I like soccer very much. Did you watch the soccer game last night on TV? (僕はサッカーがとっても好きなんだ。昨夜、テレビでサッカーの試合を観た？)
Keiko: No, what happened? (いいえ、何かあったの？)
Bill: Japan won the game. (日本が試合に勝ったんだ。)
Keiko: What was the score? (得点はどうだったの？)
Bill: The score was three to two. The kicker scored a goal in the last three seconds. (3対2だよ。キッカーが最後の3秒でゴールを決めたんだ。)
Keiko: Really? Who did they play against? (本当？対戦相手は？)
Bill: They played against Chilean. I’m a real soccer fan. How about you? (チリと対戦したんだ。僕は本当にサッカーのファンなんだ。君は？)
Keiko: I like soccer, too. But I like baseball better than soccer. (私もサッカーが好きよ。でもサッカーより野球の方が好き。)
