I became an English over 33 years ago in California, USA, after moving there from Manchester, England. I was a foreign student and met many people from around the world whose first language was not English and who needed help. So, I began working for the college tutoring International Students while I was still an undergraduate. I enjoyed the work so much that I decided to make it my lifelong career. I moved to Japan ten years ago to get married: I met my (Japanese) wife while working in China; she is also a teacher.

I fell in love with a Japanese girl. We are still happily married after 32 years!

I played professional rugby, after my career I focused on teaching English.

I studied Japanese culture in America and wanted to experience it first-hand (Zen, Wabi-sabi, Bushido, diet, traditional medicine, Philosophy). Teaching English is my chosen profession. I was a high school English teacher in the USA. I enjoy helping people reach their goals.

I came to Japan after 10 years in the French police (was working for different units as the anti-criminality squad of the subway in Paris or for the International Cooperation Direction (accompanying and protecting VIP from overseas). I came to Japan to share my international experience previously acquired in the police (International Cooperation Direction) and give a chance of improvement of both confidence and conversational skills to my Japanese students.

I came to Japan as a soldier in the United States Army. I spent 6-years in the military here. Soon after I finished serving in the Army, I returned to Japan. As an English teacher, I have made many Japanese friends and have a lot of great memories. A few of my friends here were teaching English and encouraged me to become an English teacher. After more than ten years, I still enjoy teaching English.

I want to work with children. I will teach them to use some easy techniques. I love to engage with children.

I came in Japan motivated by the desired to be familiar with the Japanese culture and society.

I've always wanted to visit and if possible live in Japan, now I have a Japanese wife and have been living in Japan for over 16 years. Teaching is my passion and I really Enjoy watching my students progress.

My father have been living in Japan since 2001 so, I shifted here with my family 6 years ago. Being a Pakistani, English is my second language as I have been studying English since my childhood until now, and one my my dreams of becoming a teacher motivated me to become an English teacher here in Japan and avail the opportunity as an non-Japanese job.

We relocated to Japan for my husband’s new job. I became an ESL/EFL Instructor to help immigrants in the United States and then obtained my M.A. after relocating to Japan.

17 years ago I came to Japan on a 2 month home stay. I was living in the Nihonbashi area of Tokyo at the time, and fell in love with Kamakura on a trip there one weekend. I decided to come back and live there for a year. I became an Eikaiwa teacher to make this happen. My original plan was to stay a year but it has been almost 15 years now. I enjoy helping students on the road to becoming great English speakers!
