Japan unexpectedly caught my heart, and before I knew it, I was swapping a life of routine for one rich with the rhythm of English lessons. The transition was seamless, fueled by the infectious enthusiasm of friends already weaving magic in their classrooms. Years later, I am known as the teacher who turned English class into an adventure land. Inspired by those who had charted this territory before me, I leaped with a pocket full of stories and a mission to make learning a blast. Fast forward to today, and my classes are where fun and learning collide, creating memorable experiences. My journey here might have started by chance, but teaching English has become my chosen adventure, packed with laughter, discoveries, and endless opportunities to explore.

At first it was a tour until I got an offer of a teaching job from BERLITZ Japan International.

I came over to Japan in the Navy and fell in love with this country. I became an English teacher in order to learn more about Japan. I love teaching, meeting new students, and learning about their lives.

I'd love to share my studying and self-taught experiences, and empower people on their path of learning English or Chinese.

I have been awarded a scholarship from the Japanese Government to study in Japan. In my free time, I have started working as an part time English teacher for kids at Dr. Tech and Iwade Academy.

Family

Actually I was born and raised in Japan. The purpose of becoming an English is, when I saw the English curriculums in Japanese schools. I figured out why the Japanese citizen couldn't speak English and more of the fear to English was gaining. That's why I wanted to teach them the right way to use English and encourage them.

元々日本に来た理由は日本語を勉強するために。 一年間の間に日本の人々や文化も好きになりまして、日本に住むことに決まりました。 デザイナーの仕事してたけど、教えるの仕事好きになりまして、英語とスペイン語の先生になりました。 日本の生徒に世界の文化や考え方も教えながら、日本の見えない素晴らしいところを皆さんに見せたい。 I came to Japan to study Japanese, but before I finished my studies, I fell in love with Japanese people and Japanese culture, so I decided to live in Japan. Although I had most of my working experience as a designer, I came to like teaching both Spanish and English. I would like to teach my students about the world and different ways of thinking, so that my Japanese students can understand the incredible things about Japanese culture.

I have always loved Japanese art and culture. Cultural exchange and helping students to discover their full potential are the main reasons I wanted to become a teacher.

I like Japan. I got TEFL, so I work as English teacher to live in Japan.

I love learning about different countries cultures and foreign languages , one of my biggest dreams since childhood was to study and live in Japan. I want to make a positive impact on the future of children and hopefully encourage them to be lifelong learners, As always I see students struggling during language learning process and see the learning process very challenging I decided to help and share my experience with students . One of the most important points that led me to become a teacher is that I love learning , I think being a teacher means that you are full-time learner .

I have been an English for 25 years at a French school.

I came to Japan in order to study Engineering at Waseda University. I want to become a teacher in Japan, because I am eager to understand more about the lives of people in Japan, ranging from children to adults, and its culture.

It was my dream since childhood to understand different cultures than mine, specially Asian cultures, I lived in China for 4 years and now I want to settle down here in Japan, I hope I can experience and understand different aspects of Japanese culture. Also, I came here so I can finally get reunited with my wife, after coronavirus we got separated for long time and she came back to her hometown in Japan. Last year I was able to to finally make my way here.

2001年に広島市立大学で交換留学生でした。日本人の彼女のおかげで２００６年日本に引っ越ししました。初めてアーチストの友達が留学したいので翻訳して、言葉を教えてました。教えるのが大好きとなかなか英語とドイツ語を勉強したいの方々が増えたらフリーランス教師になりました。

Hello there! I came to Japan several years ago and fell in love with the country and its culture. I've always been passionate about languages and teaching, and Japan has given me the perfect opportunity to combine those interests. I love helping my students improve their English skills and achieve their goals, whether it's to study abroad, get a job, or simply communicate more effectively with others. Teaching in Japan has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I feel grateful to be able to do what I love every day.

I come from a military family and we lived in several different countries with Japan being the last. I studied Japanese extensively for 4+ years then ultimately decided to become a teacher after graduating because I love talking to people and helping when I can.

I fell in love with a Japanese girl. We are still happily married after 35 years! And I love my language.

My French national company sent me to Japan for work 20 years ago. After three years, I decided to open my own restaurant (French buckwheat galettes) and began teaching cooking classes in both French and English language. Because my students enjoyed it, I decided to pursue a career as a full-time language instructor. 私のフランスのリゾート会社は、20年前に仕事のために私を日本に送ってくれました。 3年後、私は自分のレストラン（フランスのそばガレット）を開くことに決め、フランス語と英語の両方で料理教室を教え始めました。 学生たちが楽しんだので、フルタイムの語学講師としてキャリアを積むことにしました。

I loved Japan since I was young, and teaching English has always been my passion.

I married a Japanese national I was hired by the UNESCO group to teach English in Fujioka City Gunma I worked as an English instructor in Sony Co. and Sanyo Co. I became a member of ETJ ( English Teacher in Japan

I came to Japan in order to take up a teaching position. I love my work and seeing my students improve their English-language abilities.

First of all Japan has been well known of its richness in cultural and heritage, it is also related to my research in other way. Another reason that is related to my inner passion which is about interacting with people in local society. So that I would like to introduce some of my specialized language and try to learn their language at the same time which could be mentioned as the joyful moment.

My wife is Japanese. After living for many years in England, we decided to sample life in Japan. I chose to be an English teacher as I enjoy meeting new people and helping them to attain their hopes and dreams.

I am currently a first year student at Tokyo International University. I want to start teaching English as a way to help those in need with English tutoring while also getting to know more people in Tokyo.

I love communicating with people and I have had the experience of teaching in the U.S., so I thought it would be a great opportunity to be able to communicate with people of a different ethnic culture in an environment that was completely opposite of my own. Language seem to be the best place to start in sharing my own culture with people that differ from mine. And since Japanese are keen on learning English , I felt becoming an English teacher would be suitable for me.

I came to Japan to study and learn the cultures and behaviors of the Japanese citizen. In my opinion, living in Japan can help me become more disciplined. I want to be an English teacher because I have a passion in linguistics and I enjoy helping people learn the language. I have been speaking English my whole life and I want to share that with the students.

I came to Japan for university. My studies are conducted in English but I am taking Japanese classes to improve my Japanese. As someone learning a new language, I understand the hardships of learning a new language, so I aspire to become someone that can help overcome such hardships. I have lots of experience teaching English and am confident in helping people improve their English skills.

That was a long story. I was in California, U.S. taking my highschool classes, but at that time my girlfriend was in China, so the time difference was 15 hours. since i'm a responsible man, i wanted to make some change. so i came to JP since the time difference between JP and China is only 1 hour. but right after i came to JP, my girlfriend cheated on me, so she is my ex now. Since i lived in U.S. for years and most of my friends are American and i'm taking classes in english in Meiji Gakuin University anyway, i think i could teach some english here.

I came to Japan because I am interested in forming connections with people from all around the world and understanding different cultures. I chose to teach English in the hopes to help others connect in a different language.

I came to Japan to study Japanese at first. I’ve got an English teaching job after that, so I stayed here.

Interested in living abroad and to experience another culture. I think I’m a good communicator and have patience to teach people and make them laugh. This helps to make an enjoyable learning atmosphere.

I'm passionate about English, and love adventure, so I came to Japan as an adventure! I love living here and I haven't left. I love helping my students achieve their dreams of improving their English for the business, travel, or personal lives!

I taught English to Japanese students when I was in college in San Francisco and I fell in love with Japan and Japanese culture.
