As an English teacher, I explain education policies by clearly outlining classroom rules, grading criteria, and curriculum goals to ensure students understand expectations and objectives. When introducing texts, I provide concise summaries, clarify challenging vocabulary, and connect themes to real-life experiences to enhance engagement. I also emphasize structured writing, critical thinking, and active participation through discussions and assignments, fostering both language proficiency and analytical skills.

I moved to Japan with my children because my husband works here as a software engineer, and I currently reside as a dependent. Back in Sri Lanka, I worked as an English teacher, and I wish to continue my career in the same field here in Japan. Teaching English has always been my passion. I deeply enjoy helping others improve their communication skills, interacting with people from diverse cultures, and fostering cross-cultural understanding. It is incredibly rewarding to see students progress and achieve their goals through learning English, and I am excited about the opportunity to bring my experience and enthusiasm to this role in Japan.

Japan has always been a dream destination for me. Becoming an English teacher felt like the ideal way to connect with people and share something meaningful. Hi there! I’m Temuulen, but you can call me Tim! I’m currently in my 4th year at Tokyo International University in Ikebukuro, studying programming and business. After graduating high school, I decided to take a 2-3 year gap year for personal reasons. During that time, I taught high school students preparing for national exams at my high school and at Absolute English Language Center in Mongolia. I love playing volleyball, binge-watching English movies and series, and lately, I’ve been diving into all kinds of anime. English has been a big part of my life since middle school, and I’ve taken exams like the SAT and IELTS. Even here in Japan, I use English every day, whether it’s running volleyball clubs or just navigating university or daily life. I’m here to help you with anything English-related! Thank you! :)

I came to Japan to pursue my studies in Digital Business and Innovation at Tokyo International University. Japan's advanced technology, innovative business environment, and rich culture really attracted me. I wanted to immerse myself in a place where I could learn from the best while experiencing a unique blend of tradition and modernity. I became an English teacher because I’ve always had a passion for the language. English has played a major role in my life since middle school, and I wanted to share that knowledge with others. During my gap year, I had the opportunity to teach high school students preparing for their national exams. It was incredibly rewarding to see them grow and succeed, which fueled my passion for teaching even more. Teaching allowed me to make a meaningful impact while continuing to develop my own skills.

I usually curate my own lesson plan based on my students' requests. I always focus on the COMMUNICATIVE METHOD of teaching which I give more speaking opportunities to my students. Some of the books I use are Cambridge Books, Pearson Books, Oxford Books, TED TALK books, and more

My husband's job brought us here to Japan four years ago. I was a nurse and an Online English teacher in the Philippines. I continued my passion for teaching until the strike of the pandemic. I took a Master of Arts in Education course to upskill my self and learn more about he pedagogy of teaching.

Policy 1: Inclusive Cultural Exchange Framework

This policy promotes a rich and inclusive cultural exchange within the English language learning environment, fostering a deep understanding of diverse cultures and perspectives.

We implement this through cultural integration sessions, where we integrate regular cultural exchange sessions into the curriculum, where students are encouraged to share aspects of their own culture, traditions, and experiences.
Next is Cultural Awareness Assignments, where we assign projects and assignments that require students to research and present various aspects of a chosen culture. Emphasis will be placed on language accuracy and fluency in presenting the information.

Finally is Multicultural Collaboration, where we encourage students to collaborate on projects with peers from different cultural backgrounds. This collaboration will extend beyond traditional classroom settings, fostering friendships and an appreciation for diverse perspectives.

Policy 2: Conversation-Based Language Learning

Objective:
To enhance English language proficiency through immersive conversation-based learning, emphasizing practical communication skills in real-world scenarios.

We implement this by prioritizing interactive and discussion-oriented classroom activities over traditional lecture-based teaching methods. We create an environment that encourages spontaneous and natural conversation among students.

Next is Real-World Simulation Exercises: Design simulation exercises that replicate real-life scenarios, such as job interviews, travel situations, or business meetings. This approach will provide students with practical language skills applicable to various contexts.

Finally is the Peer-to-Peer Language Exchange Program, where we facilitate a program where students can pair up with peers looking to practice English. This exchange will encourage mutual learning, providing students with opportunities to teach and learn from each other.

By implementing these policies, the English language class will focus on linguistic development and provide a platform for students to appreciate and learn from each other's cultures, fostering a more comprehensive and enriching educational experience.

My major was the initial reason why I came to Japan. However, I started finding myself more reasons to stay in Japan and pursue a career in becoming an English teacher. I started it as a part-time job and I feel like it is now a passion of mine to influence the younger generation of Japan to connect globally by first building their English skills and then assisting them in whatever they need in order to build these skills.

The educational policy I will follow is the "Every Student Succeeds Act" The act was passed in 2015 as a replacement for the No Child Left Behind Act. The goal of the Every Student Succeeds Act is to give states more flexibility in how they implement educational reforms. The act also places a greater emphasis on school choice and accountability for student outcomes.

I have always been fascinated by Japanese culture. I love the food, the people, the history, and the language. When I had the opportunity to move to Japan to study for my International Relations degree, I jumped at the chance. I have been studying in Japan for the past four months, and I have loved every minute of it. I have broadened my view of Japanese culture, and I have learned so much about the country and its people. Also had the opportunity to practice my Japanese language skills, which has been a great challenge and a lot of fun. I want to become an English teacher because I want to help people communicate with each other. I believe that English is a powerful tool that can be used to break down barriers and build bridges between many cultures. I also believe that everyone deserves access to quality education, regardless of their background. I am passionate about helping my students reach their full potential, and I am committed to providing them with the tools they need to succeed. I first visited Japan as a young child, and I was immediately captivated by the country. I loved the way the people were so friendly and welcoming, and the rich culture and history were fascinating. I knew that I would come back someday, and I knew that I wanted to pursue higher education in the country. I also wanted to teach English to the Japanese people, as I believe that it is an important skill for them to have in today's globalized world. My mother and my grandfather are both professors at a university, and they have always instilled in me a love of learning. They have also shown me the importance of giving back to the community, and I believe that teaching is one of the best ways to do that. I have seen firsthand the impact that they have had on their students, and I know that I want to have the same kind of impact on the lives of others. I am excited to start my career as an English teacher, and I am sure that I can make a positive impact on the lives of my students. I believe that I have the skills and the passion to be a successful English teacher. I count myself as a hard worker, and I am always willing to go the extra mile. I am proficient at communicating and I am able to connect with people from all walks of life.
