I love communicating with people and I have had the experience of teaching in the U.S., so I thought it would be a great opportunity to be able to communicate with people of a different ethnic culture in an environment that was completely opposite of my own. Language seem to be the best place to start in sharing my own culture with people that differ from mine. And since Japanese are keen on learning English , I felt becoming an English teacher would be suitable for me.

I came to Japan to study and learn the cultures and behaviors of the Japanese citizen. In my opinion, living in Japan can help me become more disciplined. I want to be an English teacher because I have a passion in linguistics and I enjoy helping people learn the language. I have been speaking English my whole life and I want to share that with the students.

I came to Japan for university. My studies are conducted in English but I am taking Japanese classes to improve my Japanese. As someone learning a new language, I understand the hardships of learning a new language, so I aspire to become someone that can help overcome such hardships. I have lots of experience teaching English and am confident in helping people improve their English skills.

That was a long story. I was in California, U.S. taking my highschool classes, but at that time my girlfriend was in China, so the time difference was 15 hours. since i'm a responsible man, i wanted to make some change. so i came to JP since the time difference between JP and China is only 1 hour. but right after i came to JP, my girlfriend cheated on me, so she is my ex now. Since i lived in U.S. for years and most of my friends are American and i'm taking classes in english in Meiji Gakuin University anyway, i think i could teach some english here.

I came to Japan because I am interested in forming connections with people from all around the world and understanding different cultures. I chose to teach English in the hopes to help others connect in a different language.

I came to Japan to study Japanese at first. I’ve got an English teaching job after that, so I stayed here.

Interested in living abroad and to experience another culture. I think I’m a good communicator and have patience to teach people and make them laugh. This helps to make an enjoyable learning atmosphere.

I taught English to Japanese students when I was in college in San Francisco and I fell in love with Japan and Japanese culture.

My Husband got an opportunity to work in Japan. So we moved here. I have a good experience working as an English Teacher. To restart my career in the same industry where I worked earlier, I would like to apply for this role.

Some years ago I was hired by a Mexican airline to open Narita Station, where I became the airport manager. Time after I worked as a Duty Manager at Haneda (for Air France) and at Kansai Airport I became FBO Manager for business private jets and charter flights terminal. Working for aviation in Japan has been a fascinating activity. As a second job, I have been able to experience teaching as a freelance in different schools, online schools, and also when I've worked at the airport in Kansai, Haneda, and Narita.

Furthermore, Japan's unwavering commitment to education is legendary. From the rigorous academic system to the emphasis on respect and social responsibility, there's so much to be learned. Living and working there would allow me to immerse myself in this rich educational tapestry, not just as an observer, but as a participant. I became an English teacher because I get a deep sense of fulfilment and joy when I teach others and ensure that I have adequately guided them to construct knowledge for themselves using simple concepts they are surrounded by. This motivates me to study more so I can keep improving my teaching styles with the aim to assist my learners to be analytic in their everyday lives and solve problems in their societies. I also want to learn from different cultures and share my culture with others to promote international communication and cultural understanding. The fact that I get to do all this by using language learning is what intrigues me most about teaching English and makes me love teaching English..

I came to Japan to start a new career in teaching. I have been in customer service for over 20 years and had taught English to two Taiwanese students which I found fun and exciting and decided to begin a transition to a new life. I chose Japan because it was always a country that intrigued me, but as an English teacher it would provide me with a challenge to improve the English of the students here regardless of their age.

My spouse's work has brought my family to Japan. As a result, I pursue my passion as an English teacher.

I came to Japan to go to graduate school at 上智大学大学院. I teach English because I enjoy meeting new and interesting people and helping them with their studies.

I am a 3rd Generation Japanese Descendant and I have Japanese, Spanish and Philippine roots. I love Japan's culture, beauty and food. Japan is vert peaceful and allows one to enjoy with ease through accessible public transportation. I became a teacher because I wanted to share the world to Japanese people through English lessons. I love to see the progress and development of learners of English.

2006年に来日して、今は主に通訳家と英語の教師として働いています。

After many years working in the corporate field, I decided to leave to pursue something which I desire...music.I Came to Japan to pursue a music career and start a small business. I taught english on the side to augment my income and soon discover that was an opportunity for me to meet people and make friends. Ive some students that has been with me for over 7 years and one of them actually plays in my band now.

I first started teaching in Canada, and most of my students were Japanese. At that time, I was also learning Japanese. With an understanding of how Japanese people think when learning English, I decided to come to Japan to teach.

I was in medical school pursuing my dream to be a doctor but I got exhausted and want to take a break from studying so I came to Japan to visit my mom who was working at the U.S Embassy back then. After touring Japan for 3months I decided to work as a fitness instructor for kids in English. I didn’t know that it is my passion and I became so motivated to teach English to people not only to kids but to career oriented people as well.

I majored in Japanese and Marketing at my university in Australia and I wanted to learn real daily conversational Japanese while living and working in Japan.
