日本に来たきっかけと、英語先生になったきっかけ

My wife is Japanese. After living for many years in England, we decided to sample life in Japan. I chose to be an English teacher as I enjoy meeting new people and helping them to attain their hopes and dreams.

I really enjoy teaching and meeting new people.
I am a kind, patient and supportive teacher.
I provide a professional service.
I want you to enjoy learning English and I want to teach you the English that YOU want to learn. I use textbooks, CDs, DVDs, my own materials or your own materials, and conversation.
I can teach a wide range of English, including general conversation, travel English, business English, presentations, TOEIC, etc.

In addition to teaching, I am a copywriter for The Rake Japan magazine and a writer of fiction. My last book, Ghostly Tales of Japan was published in English, French and Japanese.

I like to teach students what they want to learn at a pace which they find comfortable. The texts used are dependant on the student's needs and ability.

学歴・職歴・英語関連資格

I teach adults of all ages and levels of ability.
I give lessons online via Skype, Zoom, Line and Teams or inperson in my home, the student's home, offices, and cafes.
As a graphic design graduate,I have previously taught art and photography.
In the UK I worked as a government officer before training to be an English teacher.
I am CELTA and TEFL certified.
I have studied Japanese art, literature and Japanese bookbinding at Tokyo University, Keio University and Waseda University.
I am an author who has been published in English, Japanese and French.
I am also a copywriter and feature writer for the Japanese mens' fashion magazine, The Rake Japan.
