I came to Japan because, while studying at college in the USA, I became very good friends with several Japanese students. I was deeply impressed by their discipline, honesty, respect, and purity of heart. One of them once asked me why I didn’t visit Japan. At first, I thought it was a crazy idea—but the thought stayed with me, and one day I simply decided to come.

I fell in love with the country and its people, who were so well-mannered, and the beauty of the gardens in Kyoto took my breath away. Years later, I met my wife, who gently taught me how to become more civilized—I was quite rough and unruly back then.

I truly appreciate all that Japan has given me. I understand that many Japanese students find learning English difficult, and I want to be a supportive teacher who helps them achieve their goals. I believe this is my ikigai.

I developed a great passion helping students improve
their English at McCann Erickson Chile.
I could easily share with them my experience working
in Japan. I researched and studied many reports and
articles about Advertising, Marketing and Copywriting
so that I could teach vocabulary related to their work.

Students learned not only Business English but also studied
many reports regarding Cross-Cultural Communication, which
greatly increased their Cross-Cultural Awareness.
Accounts Creative Directors could successfully make
effective presentations in English to clients such as Samsung
in Korea and MasterCard in Santiago.

Students who attended leadership courses abroad
(Amsterdam) approved such courses.

I am sure that I can contribute to any company that
understands that in our fast changing society is not
enough to speak English well, language ability alone
is not enough to guarantee international success.
Without an understanding of our counterparts, cultural
pattern and sensitivity to cultural differences,
effective international communication is virtually
impossible.
Companies now require specific courses that blend
language skills, communication techniques and
cross cultural training, my objective is to produce
more of these courses.
