I use my own materials that I create for each student's individual needs.

I initially came to Japan as an ALT for the JET Programme in Hiroshima in 2000. After I finished a 3-year contract with the JET Programme I continued to stay in Japan as an English teacher and then as an International teacher in Tokyo. Now, I teach adults in various fields of business privately and have over 30 private students.

Japan has always been a dream destination for me. Its rich culture, beautiful aesthetics, and seamless blend of tradition and innovation felt like the perfect place to explore and grow personally and professionally. As someone passionate about art, design, and psychology, I’ve found endless inspiration here—from the architecture to the way people value mindfulness and creativity in daily life. Becoming an English teacher felt like the ideal way to connect with people and share something meaningful. It’s not just about teaching a language—it’s about helping others build confidence, express themselves, and reach their goals. Plus, it’s a great opportunity for me to bring my interests into the classroom, like using photography, art, and even psychology to make learning more interactive and engaging. For me, teaching is more than just a job; it’s a way to connect cultures, spark creativity, and create an experience that’s as enjoyable for my students as it is for me.

I came to Japan to go to graduate school at 上智大学大学院. I teach English because I enjoy meeting new and interesting people and helping them with their studies.

I have my own, and they're good.

My job transferred me here and I've felt really lucky since then. I really would like to help change the way English is used and taught in Japan so that it can be used more naturally by my students. Listening and reading is important, but so is speaking!

I came to Japan as an international student. I am currently on my second year in a Japanese Language School in Tokyo. I came to Japan because I want to learn Japanese since I am very interested with Japan and its culture. Having to experience living in Japan will help me understand and discover more about Japan's culture. Furthermore, practicing Japanese in a daily basis will further help me improve my Japanese level.

I moved to Japan because I am half Japanese and my family lives here, so it was a natural choice for me. Additionally, I've always had a desire to explore and experience another culture. Becoming an English teacher felt like a natural fit because I love sharing knowledge and helping others learn and grow.

I came to Japan to learn Japanese! Being an English teacher was just one of the many ways I thought I could give back to the Japanese people around me, and also enjoy their presence and culture.

Learning English should be fun and interesting because it is an international language. The ability to communicate in writing and speaking of English enable us to interact with people from different countries. It makes our work, business, travel and other activities more rewarding and exciting.



The type of classes that I can carry out the teaching duty are Conversational English, Elementary English, Intermediate and Business English.

Depending on the demand and level of English, the educational policies and text books will be used accordingly.

Currently, I am a full-time researcher and have passion to teach English as my part-time job.

My teaching style is to have active conversations; we can discuss any topic of our choice and have fun while learning, but lessons with me focus on whatever you want to focus on!

I came to Japan because I believed Living and working in Japan would allow me to acquire valuable skills and knowledge for my career, which has also granted me an exciting cultural experience and lifestyle, including learning the beautiful language. Furthermore, I believe teaching English in Japan can be one of the most rewarding experiences; in doing so, I have learned more about Japanese culture, the work environment, my students, and myself. Teaching is a fantastic chance to change lives for the better. Helping young students learn English opens doors to new opportunities for them. And helping adult learners enables them to communicate with English-speaking relatives and become more competitive in the global economy.

Work hard and try to have fun! The key to mastering a new language is to have motivation, try to enjoy the subject, and to work hard. By taking small steps forward, reaching your desired goals won't be a problem!

I came to Japan as a University student studying International Liberal Studies and quickly became interested in teaching English here as I find many people wish to learn English but struggle to either start or master it so I wish to help share my knowledge and skills.

I love the Japanese Rich Culture and fact that they are still very attached to it and and very keen to pass it to their coming generations. I love the delicious Japanese Food.

I believe that using only one language in the classroom should be the best way to improve one's English level. The "trial by fire" type of approach is very efficient; however, the teacher must be very playful when approaching teaching like this since learning a new language is challenging and the students can become uncomfortable without being able to speak their native language. Each level should be approach appropriately, this means that vocabulary and grammar should be basic for lower levels, and more challenging as they progress.

I believe making mistakes is important and should not be met with strictness; at first, students should be allowed to make mistakes and not be corrected very much, but as their proficiency increases, addressing those mistakes becomes more common.

I use many types of texts, from basic to advanced.

I came to Japan as a master's student. I am currently in my first year but I have already completed many of my credits and have free time to partake in a part time job. My connection with the English language and didatics are one of the main reasons I started teaching English as a foreign language. Additionally, I enjoy being able to help people acquire a new language and see them progress slowly until they are able to speak proficiently.

In my Spanish lessons I'll use books endorsed by the Royal Spanish Academy and in English the books endorsed by Cambridge.
The classes will be adapted to the tastes and needs of each student in order to motivate them to continue learning.
However, we will use story books, interactive videos and games yo help them to really understand everything besides the grammar
that school books have.
We will concentrate in the oral, reading and writing comprehension, where the students will read out and answer questions about the books or activities we will do and also make their own stories to improve their gramatical and vocabulary skills.

I came to Japan because I liked since I was a kid and I wanted to improve my Japanese and knowledge about the country. I want to become a Spanish and English teacher for kids because it is something I'm used to do in my home country and also really love working with children and see how they improve.

The best place to ignite the fires of learning is where people don't normally speak English - Japan is a country where English is taught in school but not practiced too much. I'm here to allow students to practice and gain confidence. First with me, then with the world.
