To make my dreams come true

I first visited Japan with my family when I was 8 years old, and I instantly fell in love with the culture. From that moment, I dreamed of living here. In 2015, after graduating high school, that dream came true when I enrolled in a Japanese university. I worked hard to achieve native-level Japanese, and now I work for a Japanese company where I use both Japanese and English every day. 日本に惚れたきっかけは、8歳のときに家族と一緒に日本を旅行したことです。 その瞬間からいつか日本に住みたいとう夢を見初めました。 そして2015年には高校卒業後、日本の大学に進学してその夢を叶えました。 ネイティブレベルの日本語を身につけるために一生懸命勉強し、 現在は日本の会社で働いており、日本語と英語の両方を使っている生活しています。

I chose to start teaching in Japan to immerse myself in a culturally rich environment while supporting my husband during his PhD studies. Teaching English allows me to share my language skills and engage with diverse learners, fostering cross-cultural communication. Additionally, I believe that working in education will enhance my understanding of Japanese culture and language, creating a mutually beneficial experience for both my students and me.

Japan is my country of birth. I just want to help people with acquiring a language that can open doors for them.

My job transferred me here and I've felt really lucky since then. I really would like to help change the way English is used and taught in Japan so that it can be used more naturally by my students. Listening and reading is important, but so is speaking!

I originally came to Japan to pursue my undergraduate studies, however, I have always had a passion of teaching English to kids. Though I am a native speaker who has been learning English since young, I know the struggle of learning a new language. As of matter of fact, I myself, grew up learning to 4 different languages: English, Chinese, Thai, Japanese. I understand how hard it was for me, so I wanted to help younger children from experiencing what I have, and simply make their studying progress easier and more efficient.

I came to Japan for my studies and have completed my Master's degree. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. Besides Japan's excellence in technology and science, my profound love and appreciation for Japanese culture were the primary motivations for choosing Japan as my higher education destination. Teaching is my passion. There is no greater joy for me than helping another person realize their potential and improve. I find it truly fulfilling.

I came to Japan because I have mixed roots. Middle Eastern and Japanese. I was born and raised abroad, yet I always wondered about my other Japanese half. I came to study the culture. I live here now for over 20 years.

I came to Japan as a University student studying International Liberal Studies and quickly became interested in teaching English here as I find many people wish to learn English but struggle to either start or master it so I wish to help share my knowledge and skills.

I am currently a sophomore at The University of Tokyo (東京大学). The opportunities this university presented were my main reasons to choose to come to Japan. I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Environmental Science. In parallel, I am conducting research in laser physics and biotechnology. I love teaching. Apart from English, I am also a Math and Science tutor. Tutoring gives me the satisfaction that very few activities do. So why not utilize my free time to do something I enjoy and that's helpful to others.
