Eri and Sue are talking about their plans. (エリとスーがお互いの計画について話をしています。)
Eri: Would you like to know my plans for next year? (来年の私の計画を知りたい？)
Sue: Uh-huh. What is that? (ええ。何？)
Eri: I’m going to qualify as an information processing engineer. (情報処理技術者の資格を取ろうと思っているの。)
Sue: Oh really? Is it difficult to pass? (あら、本当？合格するのは難しい？)
Eri: Yes, it won’t be easy at my age. (ええ、私の年では簡単ではないわ。)
Sue: It sure won’t. (そうね。)
Eri: Do you have any plans for next year? (あなたは来年何か計画していることがあるの？)
Sue: Yes, I’m going to take the correspondence course in web design. (ええ、ウエブデザインを通信教育で学ぼうと思っているの。)
Eri: I’m interested in that, too. But why do you chose the correspondence course? (私も興味があるわ。でも、何故通信教育を選ぶの？)
Sue: Because I have to work and earn money. So I’ll be busy next year. (働いてお金を稼がなきゃ。だから、来年は忙しくなるわ。)
Eri: Let’s encourage each other! (お互いに励まし合いましょう！)

Uh-huh.：「はい」と同意を表す。
qualify as～：～と言う資格を得る
information processing engineer：情報処理技術者
at my age：私の年齢では
It sure won’t.：前文が否定文なのでそれにたいする同意として使われている。

earn：お金を得る
encourage：励ます
