I'd love to share my studying and self-taught experiences, and empower people on their path of learning English or Chinese.

I came to Japan in 2010 with Working Holiday Visa. After 1 year experience living in Japan, I started to love this country and people. In order to meet more people in this country and introduce my country, Taiwan, I started to teach English and Chinese to make friendships with more people in Japan.

We move here with my wife, who is Japanese.

Culture and education

I first visited Japan with my family when I was 8 years old, and I instantly fell in love with the culture. From that moment, I dreamed of living here. In 2015, after graduating high school, that dream came true when I enrolled in a Japanese university. I worked hard to achieve native-level Japanese, and now I work for a Japanese company where I use both Japanese and English every day. 日本に惚れたきっかけは、8歳のときに家族と一緒に日本を旅行したことです。 その瞬間からいつか日本に住みたいとう夢を見初めました。 そして2015年には高校卒業後、日本の大学に進学してその夢を叶えました。 ネイティブレベルの日本語を身につけるために一生懸命勉強し、 現在は日本の会社で働いており、日本語と英語の両方を使っている生活しています。

I have always loved Japanese art and culture. Cultural exchange and helping students to discover their full potential are the main reasons I wanted to become a teacher.

日本文化やアニメが好きで日本に来ました。 日本でもっと英語を話せる人を増やしたいと思ったから英語を教えています。 I like Japan. I got TEFL, so I work as English teacher to live in Japan.

I came to Japan with a great interest in its language, culture and people. I became an English teacher because it's the best way to share knowledge and add value to people's lives.

Moving to Japan was inspired by a desire to experience its rich culture, advanced technology, and educational opportunities. Japan's commitment to high-quality education and unique teaching approaches also attracted me. Becoming an English teacher allows me to share my language skills with young learners in Japan. Teaching English helps bridge cultures and gives students tools to explore the world through language. This role is a rewarding way to contribute to students' growth and development, while also enriching my own experiences in a new country.

I was born to missionary parents and raised in Japan, but as I am American, I was educated entirely in English from the time I was very small. Growing up in a predominantly English-speaking environment and attending international schools where over 95% of the students themselves were native English speakers, English became my first language. I first developed a passion for teaching English in college, when I joined an all-native English speaking volunteer English conversation club which assisted students in Japanese universities with their English-Speaking Society (ESS) circles. I realized that the public school system in Japan puts Japanese people at a disadvantage in their English education, especially when it comes to pronunciation and conversation, and I wanted to help them overcome that disadvantage.

I come from a military family and we lived in several different countries with Japan being the last. I studied Japanese extensively for 4+ years then ultimately decided to become a teacher after graduating because I love talking to people and helping when I can.

I came to Japan to study Japanese at first. I’ve got an English teaching job after that, so I stayed here.

I was not good at English when I was younger, but I found it interesting from my high school teacher. So, now I'd like to tell you everything I learned, too.

To make my dreams come true

I wanted to teach English in Japan. I love working with kids and teaching them to have fun with English

I came to Japan a year ago to progress further into Japanese society. The fundamental of this is to learn Japanese and as someone who is learning a new language, I have a good understanding when it comes to supporting the students in the best way possible.

I came to Japan with my husband because he got a principal job at a Japanese/Canadian Private School. I am learning Japanese and I love Japan. I became an English and French teacher many years ago because I love languages and I love teaching. Currently, I am teaching English 9 hours a week at a Japanese Private Junior and Senior High school. I am integrating with the Japanese culture, but I am looking for more hours of teaching and I feel confident and excited about teaching privately or in small groups.

I’ve always had a deep interest in the country and its people. I’m also passionate about teaching.

My wife is Japanese. After living for many years in England, we decided to sample life in Japan. I chose to be an English teacher as I enjoy meeting new people and helping them to attain their hopes and dreams.

I came to Japan to teach English to contribute to early language education and foster cross-cultural understanding. My goal was to help young learners develop strong communication skills while experiencing the rich cultural exchange Japan offers.

I enjoy meeting people and get a sense of achievement when my students improve.

Interested in living abroad and to experience another culture. I think I’m a good communicator and have patience to teach people and make them laugh. This helps to make an enjoyable learning atmosphere.
