2001年に広島市立大学で交換留学生でした。日本人の彼女のおかげで２００６年日本に引っ越ししました。初めてアーチストの友達が留学したいので翻訳して、言葉を教えてました。教えるのが大好きとなかなか英語とドイツ語を勉強したいの方々が増えたらフリーランス教師になりました。

I have been an English for 25 years at a French school.

The first time I came here was as a student. After that I decided to return to work because I enjoy living here. I also enjoy teaching because I get to interact with many people.

Japan is a lovely and famous country in the world , with a unique culture

I came to Japan to study and learn the cultures and behaviors of the Japanese citizen. In my opinion, living in Japan can help me become more disciplined. I want to be an English teacher because I have a passion in linguistics and I enjoy helping people learn the language. I have been speaking English my whole life and I want to share that with the students.

I fell in love with a Japanese girl. We are still happily married after 35 years! And I love my language.

My husband's job brought us here to Japan four years ago. I was a nurse and an Online English teacher in the Philippines. I continued my passion for teaching until the strike of the pandemic. I took a Master of Arts in Education course to upskill my self and learn more about he pedagogy of teaching.

New child on the way and to supplement household income

I came over to teach tennis and started a tennis school, now I am a tennis writer.

First of all Japan has been well known of its richness in cultural and heritage, it is also related to my research in other way. Another reason that is related to my inner passion which is about interacting with people in local society. So that I would like to introduce some of my specialized language and try to learn their language at the same time which could be mentioned as the joyful moment.

I have been awarded a scholarship from the Japanese Government to study in Japan. In my free time, I have started working as an part time English teacher for kids at Dr. Tech and Iwade Academy.

I came to Japan with my then-wife, so that she could go to school here. I got a job teaching English to pass the time and really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed living here, so more than 13 years later, I’m still here.

I loved Japan since I was young, and teaching English has always been my passion.

My French national company sent me to Japan for work 20 years ago. After three years, I decided to open my own restaurant (French buckwheat galettes) and began teaching cooking classes in both French and English language. Japan has always held a special allure for me. It is a land of captivating contrasts, where ancient traditions seamlessly blend with cutting-edge technology. I find this unique synergy intriguing and I seek to explore this. This exploration resonates deeply with my deep-seated quest for education and my fervent desire for continuous learning. Furthermore, Japan's unwavering commitment to education is legendary. From the rigorous academic system to the emphasis on respect and social responsibility, there's so much to be learned. Living and working there would allow me to immerse myself in this rich educational tapestry, not just as an observer, but as a participant. I became an English teacher because I get a deep sense of fulfilment and joy when I teach others and ensure that I have adequately guided them to construct knowledge for themselves using simple concepts they are surrounded by. This motivates me to study more so I can keep improving my teaching styles with the aim to assist my learners to be analytic in their everyday lives and solve problems in their societies. I also want to learn from different cultures and share my culture with others to promote international communication and cultural understanding. The fact that I get to do all this by using language learning is what intrigues me most about teaching English and makes me love teaching English..

The reason I came to Japan was I wanted to experience life in another country. The reason I became an English teacher is because I have a passion for teaching. I really enjoying watching my students progress in their language learning journey.

US Military

I come from a military family and we lived in several different countries with Japan being the last. I studied Japanese extensively for 4+ years then ultimately decided to become a teacher after graduating because I love talking to people and helping when I can.

Japan unexpectedly caught my heart, and before I knew it, I was swapping a life of routine for one rich with the rhythm of English lessons. The transition was seamless, fueled by the infectious enthusiasm of friends already weaving magic in their classrooms. Years later, I am known as the teacher who turned English class into an adventure land. Inspired by those who had charted this territory before me, I leaped with a pocket full of stories and a mission to make learning a blast. Fast forward to today, and my classes are where fun and learning collide, creating memorable experiences. My journey here might have started by chance, but teaching English has become my chosen adventure, packed with laughter, discoveries, and endless opportunities to explore.

At first it was a tour until I got an offer of a teaching job from BERLITZ Japan International.

Family

Actually I was born and raised in Japan. The purpose of becoming an English is, when I saw the English curriculums in Japanese schools. I figured out why the Japanese citizen couldn't speak English and more of the fear to English was gaining. That's why I wanted to teach them the right way to use English and encourage them.

元々日本に来た理由は日本語を勉強するために。 一年間の間に日本の人々や文化も好きになりまして、日本に住むことに決まりました。 デザイナーの仕事してたけど、教えるの仕事好きになりまして、英語とスペイン語の先生になりました。 日本の生徒に世界の文化や考え方も教えながら、日本の見えない素晴らしいところを皆さんに見せたい。 I came to Japan to study Japanese, but before I finished my studies, I fell in love with Japanese people and Japanese culture, so I decided to live in Japan. Although I had most of my working experience as a designer, I came to like teaching both Spanish and English. I would like to teach my students about the world and different ways of thinking, so that my Japanese students can understand the incredible things about Japanese culture.
