I have always aspired to teach in Japan. Through deliberate career decisions, I have pursued roles that would lead me towards my ultimate professional pursuit as an English teacher in Japan. Although I did not start out with the aim of being a teacher, I have discovered a passion for explaining complex topics and seeing others thrive as a result. This passion extends beyond English instruction to encompass a broad range of subjects.

I studied Japanese culture in America and wanted to experience it first-hand (Zen, Wabi-sabi, Bushido, diet, traditional medicine, Philosophy). Teaching English is my chosen profession. I was a high school English teacher in the USA. I enjoy helping people reach their goals.

I became an English over 33 years ago in California, USA, after moving there from Manchester, England. I was a foreign student and met many people from around the world whose first language was not English and who needed help. So, I began working for the college tutoring International Students while I was still an undergraduate. I enjoyed the work so much that I decided to make it my lifelong career. I moved to Japan ten years ago to get married: I met my (Japanese) wife while working in China; she is also a teacher.

I came to Japan because I believed Living and working in Japan would allow me to acquire valuable skills and knowledge for my career, which has also granted me an exciting cultural experience and lifestyle, including learning the beautiful language. Furthermore, I believe teaching English in Japan can be one of the most rewarding experiences; in doing so, I have learned more about Japanese culture, the work environment, my students, and myself. Teaching is a fantastic chance to change lives for the better. Helping young students learn English opens doors to new opportunities for them. And helping adult learners enables them to communicate with English-speaking relatives and become more competitive in the global economy.

The culture and language and I want Japanese people to have an interest in a different culture and spark curiosity and critical thinking about the world.

I truly love japanese culture ( this is the reason why I am here with a student visa and studying japanese language everyday). I became an English teacher because since the first day I started this career i was really happy to see people improving and starting to be confident in another language besides their mother tongue. That moved me to keep going and focus 100% on becoming an English (and italian) teacher

I am a lover of Japanese history and literature, so I came to this country and I am continuing to love it.

I came to Japan as a University student studying International Liberal Studies and quickly became interested in teaching English here as I find many people wish to learn English but struggle to either start or master it so I wish to help share my knowledge and skills.

I studied Japanese at High School in New Zealand. After graduation, I came to Japan as an exchange student. I loved it so much, I then came back several years later to work for an 英会話 company.

I played professional rugby, after my career I focused on teaching English.

First, my family is living here in Japan. Second, I want to get involved with local communities as a teacher. I like kids and I love teaching and it's my passion. I want to impart my knowledge to every Japanese and non-Japanese student at all levels. I also want to learn about Japanese culture. English teachers are both in demand and well-respected in Japan. Teaching in Japan presents unique challenges like long workdays and a work culture that may differ from what you're used to.
